The Government has declared 11^th April, 2012 as a public holiday under Section 8 of the Holidays Act 1951 in conjunction with the installation of Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan Kedah Tuanku Almu’tasimu Billalhi Muhibbuddin Tuanku Alhaj Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah as Yang di-Pertuan Agong XIV with effect from 12^th  December, 2011.

In accordance with MAPA Circular No. 7/2012 dated 7th March 2012, the holiday declared for 11th April, 2012 by the goverment shall be considered as an additional paid public holiday for all employees.
